Our Nurture Life Review in a Nutshell
We tried Nurture Life Super Food Smoothies, Mighty Bites snacks, and 5 Different Kids Meals.

1) The Super Food Smoothies are the easiest and healthiest smoothies I’ve seen! They use real fruits and vegetables. They’re not frozen, so you don’t even have to blend them. Just store them in the fridge and grab one whenever you need a naturally-sweet, nutrition boost. The kids took them as part of their packed lunch on the go, and they enjoyed them at home for our Friday Muffin, Popcorn, and Smoothie night.
We all liked the Berry-Full smoothie best! 🫐🍓
2) The Mighty Bites are a quick, easy, and healthy snack that you can feel good about your kids eating. These are easy to grab at home or take on-the-go for a healthy protein boost between meals.
We started with the Oatmeal Raisin bites, and are looking forward to trying the Snickerdoodle and Chocolate Chip bites next.

3) The Kids’ Meals were tasty and super easy to warm, serve, and clean up. The kids said most items taste “amazing” and they’ve been asking for them almost every day since our box arrived. They appreciate having a variety of new choices; I appreciate that there was zero prep or planning involved, and cleanup was a breeze!
“Eddie” liked French Toast Sticks with Scrambled Eggs best, while “Teagan” liked Teriyaki Salmon with Rainbow Rice best!

How Does Nurture Life Work?
Nurture Life is a meal subscription with pre-portioned, ready-to-warm-and-eat meals for kids that are designed by dieticians to be both healthy and convenient.
You can choose from 26+ kid-friendly meals that taste “amazing” (according to my kids) and are pretty healthy (according to mom). Most meals are made with nutritious veggies, whole grains, and quality meats that are stated to be free from antibiotics and hormones.
If you have picky kids or food allergies, you’ll appreciate that you can customize the meals and snacks you put in each box.
As with most subscriptions, you can ‘set it and forget it’ and get a box of meals delivered each week. Or if you need flexibility, you can skip weeks, adjust your meals, pause, or cancel your subscription anytime.

What Kind of Foods Does Nurture Life Deliver?
You can choose to get 4 different types of foods delivered:
- Nurture Life Finger Foods. Smaller portions in bite-sized pieces are perfect for those ready for self-feeding.
- Nurture Life Kids Meals. A fast way to get veggies and a good source of protein in almost every meal. There are breakfast options like french toast sticks with scrambled eggs, lunch options like chicken bites with super veggies, and dinner options like teriyaki salmon with rainbow rice.
- Nurture Life Mighty Bites Snacks. There are 3 flavors: Oatmeal Raisin, Snickerdoodle, and Chocolate Chip. They sound like cookies, but they’re much healthier as they’re primarily made with dried fruit, oats, and seeds. They have 3 grams of plant-based protein per serving and 74% less added sugar than leading snacks.
- Nurture Life Smoothies. There are 3 smoothie flavors. Each is made with whole fruits, veggies, superfoods, and no added sugar, making them healthy, naturally sweet, and yummy.
How Do You Store and Cook Nurture Life Meals?
Nurture Life meals are delivered fresh, not frozen. I’ve tried another meal delivery, and all their products are delivered frozen, so this is something to note.
For the fastest and freshest experience, store the meals in the refrigerator. You can store the meals in the freezer to make them last longer, they may just take a little longer to heat up.
Nurture Life kid’s meals can be warmed in the microwave in just 1 minute. This is so easy, our 8-year-old could make them herself. She felt a sense of accomplishment about the meals she could serve herself and her brother. 🙌❤️

You can also cook Nurture Life meals in the oven. Simply transfer the food to an oven-safe container (I used a glass rectangular dish), and cook for 10-15 minutes at 350 degrees. We tested it both ways, and both worked well.
Store Super Food Smoothies in the refrigerator and Mighty Bites in your pantry or snack cupboard.

What Age is Nurture Life Good For?
Nurture Life foods are good for babies, toddlers, and kids.
- The smoothies and snacks can be enjoyed by toddlers, kids, and even parents.
- The finger foods are best for little ones who are ready to feed themselves solids.
- The kids’ meals are best for toddlers, younger kids, and kids who don’t eat a lot.
From what I’ve seen and heard, our kids eat a lot. So at ages 6 and 8, they each ate 1.5-2 Nurture Life kids’ meals for lunch. They don’t typically snack, so their meals may be larger than the meals of other kids, but one kid’s meal would not have been enough for our kids to feel full.

Is Nurture Life Clean and Healthy?
You can easily see every ingredient for each item on their website, which is great for those of us who inspect ingredients before feeding our children.
Nurture Life’s website says you can feel great serving their kids food that’s:
- easy
- nutritious
- stress-free
- and ready-made
They also make comforting claims that their food is
“Created by chefs & dietitians, our food is made fresh with real, clean ingredients & delivered weekly to your door.”
–NURTURE LIFE
I’m happy to see Nurture Life avoids bad ingredients like artificial colors and flavors, high-fructose corn syrup, nitrates/nitrites, toxic monosodium glutamate (MSG), and chemical preservatives like butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) that you’ll find in a lot of convenience foods for kids these days.
In general, I think Nurture Life has done a good job using clean and healthy ingredients. There are organic vegetables, fruits, whole grains, minimal sugar, and quality proteins. Would I prefer avocado or olive oil over canola oil? Yes. Would I prefer no natural flavors and organic whole milk over skim? Yes. These things aren’t in every meal, but they’re in some.
For a fresh, 2- or 3-course meal with protein and healthy side dishes that can be quickly warmed up and most kids will eat, I know that’s asking a lot, which is why I say Nurture Life has done a good job overall using healthy ingredients.

Nurture Life Review Summary – Is it Worth It?
As with most things, it depends. Here’s what I can honestly say though to help you decide if Nurture Life is worth it…
Nurture Life Pros
Nurture Life saves you tons of time and takes away the stress of meal planning, grocery shopping, meal preparation, and cleanup. This meal delivery service for kids is super convenient.
You can have a 3-course meal with protein and vegetables ready for your kids in just one minute!
And if you have a child who can put a slit in the plastic covering and push 1 minute on the microwave, your child can make meals him/herself!
For some, this convenience is worth every penny during certain seasons of life.
Nurture Life Cons
The biggest downsides to Nurture Life are the price and the ingredients may not work for every family.
If your biggest concern for meals is price, then Nurture Life might not be right for you. There are cheaper ways to get healthy food on the table.
As you probably know, the trade-off is more time and energy planning, shopping, preparing, cooking, and cleaning up.
