Daily Harvest Pros

  • Save lots of time shopping and prepping
  • Easy prep, just warm and enjoy most
  • Transparent about ingredients and cross-contamination risks (huge for food allergy families!)
  • Peanut Free, Dairy Free, Gluten Free
  • Delivery with dry ice (even the ice icream was still frozen during the summer!)
  • Great variety of menu items

⚠️ Allergy Note: If you have food allergies, please read labels carefully before consuming. Many items contain tree nuts and note shared facility or equipment with dairy, eggs, or soy.

Daily Harvest Cons

  • Packaging – bowls had tumbled around and a few seals were broken (no food escaped though)
  • Cost (adds up over time if you don’t use a promo code)

Daily Harvest Review

I was pleasantly surprised by the clean ingredients and variety of meals, smoothies, and snacks that actually fit our diet needs. This is rare for a meal delivery service, but I found plenty of Daily Harvest menu items to fill our box.

I could pick a delivery date that worked best for us, and put off my next order several weeks so I had time to taste test.

When I opened the box, I could tell the bowls had tumbled around during delivery. Upon close inspection, 3 of the 24 bowl covers had peeled open at the seam. We used a vacuum sealer to seal the ingredients and store and keep them fresh in the freezer. Ideally, the box would include extra packaging so the bowls don’t tumble around, but I understand this can be wasteful.

The cost of Daily Harvest will add up over time, but special discount codes and sales can help keep the costs down.

The significant amount of time Daily Harvest saved me meal planning, shopping, and prepping without sacrificing healthy ingredients (like most convenience foods), makes the price worth it for busy moms like me.

And as a health-conscious food allergy parent with a long list of foods we avoid, the transparency and quality of ingredients are worth so much.

My favorite part of Daily Harvest is the gift of time without sacrificing health. I get to spend more time with my kids and when we need something to eat in less than 5 minutes, I have healthy options in the freezer.

We Are Currently Enjoying

Tomatillo + Pepper Flatbread – This flatbread was full of flavor and a little spice. The crispy crust and flavorful toppings were a pleasant change from what I usually make.

Broccoli + Cheeze Harvest Bowl – Our family let go of most dairy, including cheese, years ago. I added salt, pepper, and garlic powder to give this healthy bowl a little more flavor.

Cherry & Almond Smoothie – Reminds me of PB & J (but obviously no peanut butter for us!). The kids noticed the vanilla flavor and claimed it tastes much better than the smoothies I make. 😜
